I've seen The Play That Goes Wrong on stage at the Duchess Theatre twice, on 8 February and 12 April 2026! What, yes, it's normal to see the same play again nine weeks later, don't give me that look.

I made notes on both performances: here are my 8 February notes and my 12 April notes! Both showings were with the 2025/2026 cast (pictured above), although the 12 April show had understudies for Robert and Dennis.

The cast I saw departed at the end of May 2026! It's exciting to welcome a new cast, but it's also a little sad to know I'll never see that version again. I've noted down some thoughts about the changeover.

I've also written a short work of fanfiction set immediately after The Play That Goes Wrong, about Annie's awkward early days as an actress with the drama society: Cast and Crew (1,800 words).
