Christmas Carol Goes Wrong - the 2025 stage play, rather than the 2017 television special - was the first Mischief Theatre production I saw in person at the theatre. It was more or less sold out, but an extremely noble friend of mine, determined to enable my unhealthy Goes Wrong obsession, alerted me as soon as an affordable ticket became available.

I went to Christmas Carol Goes Wrong on 14 January 2026 and had a great time! You can find my notes on the performance over here.

I've also noted down some of the differences I've observed between the official Christmas Carol Goes Wrong script and the version I saw in performance. It's clear that an impressive amount of refinement has taken place!

It's mentioned in Christmas Carol Goes Wrong that it's freezing in the playhouse, because Chris won't let anyone use the heating. I considered this my excuse to write fanfiction in which all the members of the drama society cuddle up for warmth. It is 1,600 words long and so embarrassingly self-indulgent that I'm hesitant about even sharing the link.
