Vanessa seems very uneasy about having someone in her dressing room. She watches you constantly, with an increasingly strained smile. It's a little uncomfortable.
Vanessa is one of my favourite Cornley characters, and I've written a few works of fanfiction that centre on her, hosted on AO3! The Outsider (1,600 words) is the story of how Vanessa joined the Cornley Drama Society. The Sensible Thing (2,900 words, Robert/Vanessa) is about Vanessa struggling with her accidental proposal to Dennis, and then being thrown into a fresh spiral of bewildered indecision when Robert proposes to her. Hands-On (2,200 words, Robert/Vanessa) is about Robert offering to teach Vanessa the basics of having sex, although it's tamer than that description makes it sound!
