I've been trying to piece together a general overview of each of the characters in the Cornley Drama Society. Here's my assessment of Annie's character!

• Interesting blend of chirpy, enthusiastic and ruthless. Very supportive, with a violent streak. Great friend! Do not cross her.
• Very little confidence before Haversham Manor, but gains more confidence through performing with the drama society.
• Conflicts with Sandra in the Haversham Manor era, but they seem to get along better by Peter Pan (going by the way Sandra teams up with Annie against Jonathan rather than resenting Annie for the kiss), and they're close friends by Dennis's birthday party in Christmas Carol (at which Sandra confides in Annie about her relationship with Max).
• Very friendly and warm, loves everyone in the drama society. She hugs everyone as they arrive for auditions in the stage version of Christmas Carol, and is enthusiastically supportive of their performances. Particularly close with Trevor on account of their time working backstage together pre-Haversham Manor, before Annie joined the acting side of things.
• Even after moving from the stage crew to the cast, Annie still occasionally helps out with organisational matters, e.g. sitting in on auditions and taking minutes in meetings.
• Explicitly shown to get along with Robert, which feels notable to me because Robert is so hard to get along with. At Dennis's birthday party, Robert, Annie and Sandra are talking and laughing together. In the stage version of Christmas Carol, Annie and Robert greet each other with an enthusiastic hug, Annie supports Robert's efforts to derail the story in his audition, and Robert offers to help when Annie is worried about how to explain a damaged Christmas present to her niece. And, when Chris was yelling at Annie in the performance I attended, she backed away from him into Robert's chest, and Robert put both of his hands protectively on Annie's shoulders and kept them there until Chris had finished, which is a strong candidate for the cutest thing that has ever happened in Goes Wrong canon.
• Throws herself hard into her roles, sometimes to the point of overdoing things, e.g. committing to playing dead once her character is killed off-script in The Lodge, even though that ruins the end of the play. Has a lot of fun on stage. Can't act at all in Haversham Manor, but ends up becoming one of the most solid, reliable actors in the company.
